Spare parts manufactured and supplied by D. Rampersad are either “reverse engineered” by analysing the existing material composition, producing fully customer-referenced engineering drawings and providing a just-in-time service; or alternatively supplied by accessing advanced material technology through our partnerships with certain O.E.M’s of rotating equipment and supported by their proprietary information when necessary. This flexibility in parts supply gives the customer shorter lead times, a reduction in stocking levels and financial savings without compromising quality or mechanical integrity.
Our machine shop facilities allow us to nearly fully support our other business areas with local resources, making us able to handle complex jobs normally requiring the engagement of multiple companies under one umbrella.
Over the years, D. Rampersad has successfully refurbished many valves for all of the major industries of Trinidad and Tobago. This service includes, but is not limited to, the complete refurbishment of detonation/flame/deflagration arrestors, gate, check, relief and butterfly valves to A.P.I. 600, including hydrostatic and pneumatic testing/setting to A.P.I. 598. We have successfully refurbished and tested a wide range of valve sizes up to 36-inch nominal bore with pressure ranges up to 3000 p.s.i. We are also the local Authorised Service Centre for Young and Franklin Gas Control Valves, where our in-house specialised test equipment and trained personnel provide OEM level services for these critical valves.
